I have recently branched out into media. I was interviewed by the BBC in my capacity as Chair of Muslim Engagement and Development Leeds Working Group about the horrific terrorist act perpetrated against Muslim worshippers outside Finsbury Park Mosque.

 

I have also co-authored several articles with the Secretary General of Future Movement Political Party (Lebanon) Ahmed Hariri on the abominable Manchester Evening News suicide bombing and the terror attack that occurred on London Bridge. My interests in media include social and cultural issues and mental health and Islamophobia.

Throughout 2019 I received invitations to educate the public about mental health from BBC Radio Leeds, BBC World News and Claudia Hammond for her All in the Mind Series on BBC Radio 4.
